Putting Participants and Study Partners First When Trials End Early

When clinical trials end early, how does it impact study participants and their study partners?

A work group of researchers and stakeholders, including Signant’s Clinical Vice President David S. Miller, MD, MA, collaborated over the course of 2021 to establish 17 best practices for communicating with and supporting study participants when trials end early including:

  • Ensuring researchers allocate resources for proper closeout
  • Developing communication plans
  • Helping participants and caregivers build support networks
