Older Participants' Views on ePROs and Mobile Apps in Trials

How do older adults engage with technology in clinical trials? Our qualitative research uncovered that while preferences shift with age—from smartphones to feature phones—technology usage is common across the board. Younger seniors align closely with general population trends, while older participants show a cautious but open approach to new tech. These findings highlight the potential for electronic patient-reported outcome (ePRO) solutions to be accessible and effective for older trial participants.
