Optimizing eCOA in Oncology Trials: Insights from a Qualitative Study

This study explores the challenges oncology patients face when using electronic solutions to complete patient-reported outcomes (ePRO) during cancer treatment.

Semi-structured interviews with seven cancer patients revealed key factors affecting ePRO usability, including peripheral neuropathy, fatigue, and memory issues.

Based on patient feedback, improvements such as larger buttons, the ability to pause surveys, and clear question recall periods can help optimize ePRO tools for this population.

These insights are essential for enhancing data quality and ensuring that ePRO solutions meet patient needs in oncology trials.
